Dog Handler

About Us:

Woofland is a premier dog daycare and boarding facility that offers a loving and safe environment for dogs. We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Regular Dog Handler.

Job Overview:

As a Dog Handler, you will be responsible for the daily care and supervision of the dogs in our facility, ensuring they are safe, happy, and well-cared for. You will assist with various tasks around the facility, including feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after the dogs.

​

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for both large and small dogs, including feeding, exercising, and ensuring their safety.

• Perform basic dog washing to ensure dogs go home in a clean state (professional grooming is not required).

• Monitor the dogs’ behaviour and wellbeing, intervening when necessary.

• Maintain a clean and organised facility, including cleaning up after the dogs.

• Assist with dog check-ins and check-outs.

• Communicate effectively with other staff and dog owners.
   

Requirements:

• A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to their care and wellbeing.

• Comfortable working with both large and small dogs.

• Basic dog washing skills (ensuring dogs are clean before going home).

• Previous experience in dog care is preferred but not required.

• Reliable, with a flexible approach and positive attitude to work.

• Basic communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Must have a valid work permit and full driver’s licence.
